My org uses lots of different record types on Opportunity, each with different fields on its page layout.
But *all* record types use a 'base set' of fields- maybe 1/2 of all fields are in the 'intersection' of the 'fields Venn diagram' of Opp record types.
When I need to change the page layout of the 'intersection' part of the page layout (like, say, I have added a new custom field), I currently have to visit each PL and edit it. But I forget sometimes! Over time, the PLs drift apart because of my sloppy admining.
Has anyone come across an elegant solution to this issue (a technical solution, not a solution to improving my bad admin habits :)
