I've been using the NPSP Date Import tool and it works great for new Contacts or Contacts that have an email. I have been trying to match on a custom Id and I think I may know what the issues is but need confirmation. My unique ID in Salesforce is an auto number field. When I create the Contact1 and Contact2 corresponding fields on the NPSP import object, I can't chose the exact same field type because I don't want it to auto number so I just chose a the type "number". Is this my issue? Am I not able to use that type of Contact External ID field (auto number) to match on?
