Our org just switched to LEX and I'm not finding the ability to select multiple to records to approve at once within Items to Approve. Is this functionality not available? Are we really to approve one-by-one? Thanks.

The option to mass approval records is only available in Salesforce Classic UI. This feature enhancement request has been submitted on IdeaExchange website. I recommend upvoting and promoting this idea below:
