User (program manager) not able to edit calendar event date/time but I (the new admin) can. For example, the Program Manager created an event for today at 11AM and saved it. Now they want to change the time to 10am but they get an error. They are able to see the fields but when they try to edit them Salesforce gives them an error that says: "Error: Invalid Data. Review all error messages below to correct your data. Insufficient Privileges. You do not have the level of access necessary to perform the operation you requested".

Additional information: I am under an Analyst role with a system administrator profile. The user has a Program Manager role with a Program Manager profile. I created a permission set for the Program Manager to edit the time/date but something is not working.  For the permission set - Object settings - I gave them access to Scheduled Date, Date, End, Event Date, Show Time As, Start, Time. I would like to give the Program Manager the ability to change the date/time after it was initially saved by them.

I'm pretty new at this so any help is GREATLY appreciated!

    Hi John,

You can edit or delete an activity when the following applies:

You have the “Edit Tasks” and “Edit Events” permissions

    AND:

-You’re assigned to the activity, or

-You’re above the user assigned to the activity in the role hierarchy, or

-You have the “Modify All” object-level permission in the related record, where the record’s sharing model is “Controlled By Parent.”(with Shared Activities enabled, you need the “Modify All” object-level permission for at least one contact and the related record), or

-You have the “Modify All Data” permission
