Currently where I work we have recently started to use Salesforce Lightning. We are using Salesforce to receive our emails which are being redirected into salesforce through rules in outlook. Is there any possible way to have our emails / cases marked as read in outlook when we get to the email/cases in Salesforce. Our Salesforce guy says this is impossible, I'd to do a bit more research and figure it out and present it to the salesforce team.

    your outlook redirect rule can mark the email as read - go to your outlook rules configuration screen for that.

     

    the salesforce dev is right that this cannot be done from salesforce
