I am looking to create service territories for two different field service teams that share the same SF platform.
As an example the state of Tennessee needs to be listed as a child territory in both these hierarchies but reusing the same exact teritorry name is not an option in SF (considered a duplicate).
What would be the best approach here? Creating separate servic territory record type?

Hello Victoria,
How about this, in this example you say Tennesse needs to be used twice with one territory per team.For example you could;
- Create a Service Territory called Tennesse Sales
- Create a Service Territory called Tennesse Support
This avoids the need for record types and should hopefully indicate what the Territory is used for to the Salesforce Users.
