setting up encrypted fields for payment information

Question

Hi,

I am setting up a few payment details custom field for our Sales personnel to fill in which should then only be accessible/readable only by Finance. I used the Text(encrypted) data type to set up the Card number, CVV and Expiry date fields. Upon checking, they appear to be not masking, as I had expected. Have I missed something? Also, once it has been masked, can the Finance team view the payment details if needed?

Thanks for sharing the article Mira.   Upon checking, I noticed, I had the permission set that had "View Encrypted data" checked. After removing that permission set, it appears to be working fine.
