My org uses Salesforce, and we have 300+ users. I'm looking to create a customized user experience that allows one group of users based on profile to access specified areas of the system based on the work they do. If i've been assigned to Profile A, afer the login process, I will be asked what features would I like access to and based on my role I can go directly to those fucntions. id I'm in profile B, after I login I will be taken to the areas that I do the bulk of my work. Is this possible?

We also use SSO for our login process.

    Hi Christopher,

You can assign which apps and pages are available for users on their profile. However, that does not ask for the users' input regarding what they'd like to do. There is also the option for users to customise their own navigation bars and add tabs.

If that doesn't fit your bill, what you are describing sounds like it would require development work, where the user's preferences are captured, and then a custom component or page would display a menu based on the input.
