How do I get a Metric chart on a dashboard with a total of a calculation from 2 reports?

Question

If I will make a joined report, I will not be able to get the metric chart on a dashboard.

Is there any way to make a calculation formula on a regular report?

I have a column “Last Year YTD” and a column “This Year YTD”, now I would like to have the difference of records between these 2 columns.

see the snapshot of how I did the calculation by making a joint report.

I filtered both columns to show only greater the 0, and then made this summary level formula:

B1#.RowCount - B0#.RowCount
