This error message shows up when you try to edit the opportunity name. This is a new error message that just started today.

Any thoughts on what might be causing it?

it'll be impossible to answer here as this will be something specific to your org.
you need to take on of the following options:
1. raise a case with salesforce support with the error message asking for more details
2. enable debugging to see what is happening (see this blog post explaining how to srtup debugging if you are not familiar: https://trailhead.salesforce.com/content/learn/modules/apex_basics_dotnet/debugging_diagnostics)
