Stage field not showing the correct Sales Process on Opportunity edit

I have created a POC opportunity record type and have created a new POC Sales process with different values than are standard sales process. I have this setup and our users can choose and create which sales process they need, this all works fine. On Creation they can choose values from the POC Sales Proces. However once they save the record and go back to edit it does not show the values for the POC Sales Process. I have check users have premissions and teh Sales process is assocated to the correct record type. Any Ideas?

    Thanks for responding. Yes the record type is being maintained on save. I haven't ever seen anything like it and think it could be a bug. I opened a ticket with SFDC. I am sure they will be able to anscwer it in 3 months! HA
