Anyone with link video won't play on mobile devices

Question

We have a SalesForce MP4 file that is accessible to anyone with the link.  When we send the link to the filed in an email, the users click on the link and it opens in their browser.  It asks them to download the file.  When they select "download", it opens another browser with a play button, but it won't play.  What can we do to fix this so we can manage all of our marketing material in SF, distribute the animations, and still see who downloaded (# of downloads it received)?
