We use record types for cases. I want to limit the options available on the case standard field 'origin' on a new case record type. I've added the three options I want & ticked the record type I want them to appear in, but they appear at the bottom of the exisiting list. I can't see how to remove the unwanted dozen items just for this new record type. The existing record types still need the old dozen options.

Hi Liz,
If you are using the record types then it is easy to control what values to display and not to display for the picklist field.
Navigate to Setup - Cases - Record Types - click on the record type where you want the values from the Origin field to be hidden, clcik on Edit next to Case Origin field and move values from Selected sectiont o available section to hide the same
