Need the right OwnerIDs to send Mass Emails?

Question

Are there restrictions on sending Mass Emails to Contacts or Leads whose OwnerIDs differ from that of the User sending the emails? Sometimes we need to send emails to the same group of people from different Users; and they seem to fail until we reassign ownership of the Contacts/Leads. That's a bit cumbersome - I'm hoping that's not the way it always has to be done! Any ideas?

Please check out the appropriate permissions for the users from whom you are trying to send, as you can send emails only to the

contacts, leads, person accounts, or users you can view in Salesforce.

Hi John,               You can send a mass email to a recipient list that consists of contacts, leads, person accounts, or users you can view in Salesforce.   Sending Mass Email   Available in: Professional, Enterprise, and Unlimited Editions   User Permissions Needed   To send mass emails to contacts, person accounts, or leads:    "Mass Email"   To send mass emails to users:   "Mass Email" AND "Manage Users"   To send mass emails and log them in the Activity History related list: "Mass Email" AND "Edit Tasks"   Thanks,   Pritam Shekhawat
