But the task and events reports shows many activities Unfortunately this type of chart is not showing as an embedded chart on a account or detail detail page.
I am trying to create an embedded chart on the account and contact pages with summary of activities by week with no luck. Does any one have any feedback on this reporting logic?

I would need to see the Report Types you're using and the settings you're selecting in the Account Page layout and Contact Page Layout when you add the Embedded Charts
For questions related to Analytics: Reports and Dashboards those are really helpful. I don't have any access to your company's SFDC org, so screenshots are my "eyes" (otherwise it's kinda like playing Pin the Tail on the Donkey).
