Setting up Roles in Hierarchy

I need to have marketing person enter a lead which converts to an account. Then I have a production team of people that I need to be able to enter activites & tasks for that account.

 

I want to restrict the production team from editing or making any changes to activities or information that the marketing person has entered &/or has to continue to enter

 

How do I set this up with roles, hierarch &/or settings?

    Question - you don't want the production team access to the lead records?

     

     

    If so, you can restrict the production team's profiles to only "Read" on the leads object.

     

     

    Keep in mind, if there are multiple profiles, do it for all of them.

     

     

    Hopefully I'm understanding the question, please clarify if not.
