Report on Partner Acct's custom objects

My company is using partners to show how Accounts are related to each other. Primarily, we use it to signify if one account is serving as an agency to another account.

 

Is there any way to report on the custom objects under the PARTNER'S account?

 

For example:

 

Account X is the agency serving Account Y (an advertiser)

 

Account Y has 5 Insertion Order records related to it (a custom object related list)

 

I want to run a report that is filtered to show only Account X, but I want to see the Insertion Orders from Account Y on the report so I can know which Insertion Orders Account X influenced. Is this possible?

    You should be able to do this with a custom report type, right?   (Create-->Report Types)  

     

    Accounts as the Primary object, then Partners, then Insertion Orders.

     

    I don't have your custom object but I think this should work.
