Sara Monksfield (RSC) ha preguntado en #Email
I have a series of emails that are sent using a time-based workflow and the email recipient is a custom field on the opportunity.  We realised that some of the opportunities were not set up correctly and the custom email address was not populated, so the first email didn't go anywhere.  If I update the opportunities, will the remaining emails in the queue send to the now updated email address, or will they continue to try and send to the old (blank) address?

I've searched online and I can't find a definitive answer.

    Hello Sara,

The records in the queue of a time based workflow will get removed only if the intial rule criteria is NOT met during further updates before the scheduled date.

When you update the opportunities with the correct email addresses and if the rule criteria is met :

    1) Record already present in Queue - Scheduled date gets changed based on the new updated date. (basically a replacement of the existing queued action will happen)

    2) Records not present in the Queue - These get added as a new entries in the Queue.

In both scenarios the emails to be sent will get updated to the new addresses.
