Creating a Custom Tab

I have created a custom tab and object and I am trying to set up a page layout that pulls fields from accounts, opps and contacts to show select information all in one area under this tab. 

 

How do I go about doing this? I cant seem to figure it out despite reading that help documents?

    Right but when I check the formula it is telling me that there is no such thing as Contact or Contact__r. Sorry to be a pain just really trying to figure this out.
