How to add a field in the Account object to the page layout of the Case object

How can I add a field that is in the Account object to the Page layout of the Case Object. Please provide step by step instructions if responding. For example the  'Key Account' field..

    Hey Dave,

     

    You can accomplish this by creating a formula field on the Case that references the Account field.

     

    What field type is the field you want to bring over?
