Our SF instance was upgraded to 12 over the weekend.  There are a few new things that I like but there is at least one new feature that actually makes it harder for me to access my custom reports.  Here is what I am doing:

1. Click on the reports tab.

2. Select My Custom Reports from the folder tree.

3. The reports displayed are filtered by most recent view so I have to change that to All Items since I have used numerical characters to keep the reports I use most at the top.

4. Click the report you want and view the results.

5. To review another report, click on the reports tab again and you have to repeat steps 2 and 3 to get back to your customized reports sorted by alpha / numeric titles.

Granted, I would not really have to repeat step 3 each time if the recently viewed filter always showed a report that I wanted to view again.  But I have about 40 reports and the screen only allows 25 so I would still have to hit the next page to get to a report if it did not appear in the list.

What makes it even worse is that SF 12 lists both reports and dashboards by default.  Unless you change the type filter, you end up with an even more cluttered list than in SF 11.

Why doesn't SF 12 remember your views and have them persist the next time you visit a tab?

Is anyone else having a problem with this feature 'enhancement'?

PS: There is a bug in the 'Answers' application.  I realized that the 'Subject' of my question was not very descriptive and I've tried to change it 2 times, but it seems that I cannot change it.

Major hit to the reporting functionality- I consider it a bug. Reporting is one of the most powerful features of SalesForce- why waste so much time developing a superior report builder while at the same time downgrade the interface to reach those reports?

    Time to short SalesForce stock!
