you can use this browser extension Salesforce Dependent Picklist Matrix Export/Import (https://chromewebstore.google.com/detail/salesforce-dependent-pick/fpieolagnlkejcpejlbjgbdpaglffacj) to export the field dependency matrix for reporting, backup and sharing in excel/csv format.
You could also import changes to the dependency from a file and validate changes before you save the changes. This gives you confidence to work with the dependency matrix and the option to revert the changes when something goes wrong.
