Can we attach files with email to Contact without downloading to the computer?

Hi,

 

I would like to know can we attach a file to an email sent within Salesforce?

 

Currently, while sending an email to a Contact, we get an option of attaching file from following file locations:

 

1. My Computer

 

2. Personal documents

 

3. Shared Documents

 

But cannot access any file uplaoded under Files Tab of Salesforce. It is a hassel since our users first have to download the specific file from Files tab to their PC and then upload it to an email. Why cannot it access Files folder just like documents?

 

Any help or suggestion is appreciated!

    Aastha,

     

    I dont think it is possible to send as attachment for the files which is under Files tab.

     

    Instead, You can share that file as link, in your email.

     

    By clicking share file Via Link, then copy the link of the and then include into your email

     

    I believe this will helps you to solve your problem
