Help with publisher actions and predefined fields

Question

When you create a new publisher action and you also use predefined fields and the field is a lookup, what should the value in the formula be?  I have created an action on a custom object to "create new record" and within that action clicked "new" for predefined fields.  Picked "Account", it shows that it is a lookup field, then you need to add a formula.  Can someone please tell me what formula should be used?  I am stumped.  Thanks,

I am guessing that you are at the wrong place then! I think you are trying to create a Global Action instead of creating the Action right from that very Custom Object. You will have to create an Object specific Publisher Action in this case. To do this:

Go to Setup | Create | Objects
Click on the Name of the Object
Scroll down to the section - Buttons, Links, and Actions
Click on New Action and then proceed. This time you should have it.

This actually depends on your implementation. For eg: say that I wanted to create a Publisher Action to Create a Contact from an Account record's Chatter Feed.   So, one thing is for sure, that the Contact getting created will definitely carry the Account Id of that Account record and hence I can set a pre-defined value for that field like this:   So at first, click on Show Formula Editor and then this:     The  Formula  is:  Account.Id   And in my Chatter Feed, the Account Lookup will be  disabled :
