Email History in Salesforce /

When sending out a mass email with VR I would like to see the history in salesforce.

in the past when we used VR to send out emails it would show in the history section of salesforce

What are we doing Wrong? and what do I need to do so that it will show that I used VR and what was emailed in the history of the contacts and leads
