How can I add a campaign member from a person account using Process Builder?

I am trying to create a Campaign Member record using process builder for a Person Account. I want the process to adds new records to a campaign when a record gets created that is of a specific person account record type.  I tried an account and a contact process and can't get either one to work.  I used the Account Record Type as criteria in both the Account and Contact processes, but I suspect that because it's a person account record type it's not evaluating to True when it runs.  I set up debug logs and it doesn't appear to be erroring. I logged a case with support and the responses have been less than helpful.  Any advice would be appreciated.
