I am looking for some help, we are a staratup SaaS company and using a 3rd party subscription management platform and through an integration connecting the data from the 3rd party into SalesForce.  The fields are managed and cannot be changed.  The one field I am trying to build a report off of is a text field and has this format

"2018-12-27T14:30:33"

I am trying to create a new date field that through a formula will simply convert that text value to date value:

"12-27-2018"
