Thanks for this article @Brent Downey. I like the concept of where Salesforce is heading with Lightning but the slowness issues are the major roadblock to me even thinking of transitioning over to it right now. Looks like they have made decent progress on some of the other drawbacks over the past year, though, so hopefully it will be in a better place come this time next year.
