I am looking at the Technical Architect certification. I don't expect the written tests or the review board to be too difficult (now that I have said that they will be, of course :-) . The challenge for me is that as an independent contractor I have to cover the $6K (and the time off and the travel) for the review board out of my own pocket.

Is there any limit on the amount of time I can wait between the proctored multiple choice exam and the review board? I'd like to get the through the exam and then wait to do the review board until I can afford the time off, travel, and review board fee, and that could take awhile.
