Hi everyone,
We are a disaster recovery nonprofit in the Gulf Coast, and are currently exploring solutions for providing direct cash assistance to aid seekers. Ideally, we'd be able to deliver this in many formats: ACH transfers, via apps like Venmo/Paypal/Cashapp, mailing checks, etc. We want to make sure that we can reach unbanked people as well.
We ran a program like this involving COVID-related Financial Assistance, but we did not administer the funds - they were dispensed via a large local NP partner of ours, because they had existing capabilities.
We are in search of a payment solution which would allow us to administer the funds. That would allow smaller partner orgs to come on board with us, as much of our work involves joining with local NPs and community organizations.
Ideally (again, big dreams here), there would be a plug-and-play solution available. Hah! If only. Maybe there is, and I just haven't discovered it yet. We are also comfortable using middleware (Zapier, Workato, etc.) to keep whatever payment solution we use in sync with our SF Org.
So, the billion dollar question: have any of you run programs like this, and if so what vendor solution are you using for payouts? What do you like/not like about them?
Thank you in advance for any guidance you may offer!
- Marc
Hi @Marc Brubaker,
I don't have direct experience with administering funds through venmo or cashapp but this app was recommended when I asked around: https://breadwinner.com/payments-salesforce/venmo-salesforce-integration/
Our app, IvyTek Finance, can distribute and track funds via ach, check and wire. We focus on end to end loan and grant management, and although we work with a number of Community Development Funds, I'm so not sure if we would be the strongest fit for your use case. That being said, feel free to DM me if you'd like to bounce any ideas around! Very happy to help in any way I can.
Best,
Dan
