I am try to create a Soft Credit email acknowledgment much like to NPSP email acknowledgement that I just enabled. I know I am missing a big piece of the puzzle and would appreciate help. I created an email template, setup the workflow for the email, and tried to create a button but cannot figure out how to point the button to the proper email template. Are there other steps I am missing? We'd like to easily email our soft credit donors like our regular donors only with the proper content and info. Any help as to the best method would be appreciated. Thx

If you are game to test a few things I'd start with Flows using a method described here to pass the Opportunity ID to the Flow. https://success.salesforce.com/06930000004kNWM After that you'll need to assemble the emails of the soft credited folks. All of this hinges on the ability for Flows to send to those email addresses which I'm not sure is possible given that's a variable in your Flow vs. an email field.
Perhaps someone else knows if Flows can send to emails in a variable field.
