I work for a service based marketing company.  We need to be able to track and forecast recognized revenue but I'm unsure how best to go about it.  I cannot use product schedules bc they may buy a service, but pay depending on how MUCH of that service is used (hope that makes sense), so it can be any portion of all the products listed at any given time, until the project is completed.  Further, the final contract value may change once work begins.   Any best practices or ideas on how to forecast that?
