Can Partner Users create tasks & assign to internal users?

Can a Partner User create a task and assign to an Internal User? It appears that they currently can only see the Partner Users in a look up list. thank you

You might want to vote on this idea as it is not currently possible for partners to assign tasks to internal Salesforce users > https://success.salesforce.com/ideaView?id=08730000000H3hPAAS
