Kinda new to the chatter game here. I have a user who wants a notification if a team member creates a new account, or opportunity. I thought chatter, but I can't see a way for her to follow these records automatically. Any ideas?

You could use a workflow rule for an account is created and choose the current user filed to limit it by who is creating the account. The an email alert to notify the person that the account was created
