Create an Opportunity and Add Products to It

Ian and his sales team have already identified a couple of opportunities with two companies who are looking for a greener solution to their energy needs—one nonprofit and one enterprise. Neither has much roof space, but they both have lots of land, so the products that Ian’s team is charged with selling, the ground-mounted solar panels, are perfect for them. Ian needs these opportunities in the system as quickly as possible.

Because accounts for the two companies don’t exist yet, create the accounts first and then create the opportunities. Then add products to the opportunities using the Nonprofit Price Book and the Enterprise Price Book you created previously.

Impressive! You successfully used the custom price books you created to add products to new opportunities. Next, Ian wants only his team be able to access these custom price books and have the ability to add or remove products. Move on to the next step, and set access restrictions to the price books and products.
