Hi fellow Trailblazers,

I'm currently looking for a job and recently got my App Builder cert.  So far nothing doing.  I've decided to embrace change and go for my Agentforce Certification next.  What do you think, good move?  Have you had success finding a position once you got the Agentforce cert?  Thanks in advance.

Has anyone else come across the issue where the user role is now required? My org doesn't really use them except in specific circumstances for our Development officers (my previous org didn't use them at all so I know I'm not alone in this). I noticed in August when I was reactivating a user with a standard license and was forced to pick something. It did the same thing when I created a new user (also with a standard license) as well. It defaults to the first choice on the list if you have any roles created, and I can't select none.

I asked SF Support when I couldn't find any documentation on it. They thought it might have been a setting I turned on, but were surprised when they opened their own demo org and saw that it was required for them too. They told me this morning that they were asking some higher ups about it.

I've attached screenshots of my account where you can see that when my account was created, a role was not selected but if I were to edit it, it defaults to the first choice on the list and is required.

I've run into a similar issue. We also do not utilize roles. I had a non-sys admin who was responsible for creating new user records, and he had permissions via the manage internal users permission. I forget when it started, one day he could no longer save new records. He could still edit existing ones. I am pretty sure it is also related to roles. He did not have the 'not specified' option that I see as an admin.  Nothing we tried restored his ability to create new user records, but we did not bother calling Salesforce for it, maybe we should have?  I created a screen flow that he now uses to create new user records.

Hello, I need help with this challenge, I have been trying to validate it for a month and I have not been able to. Control and access to the fields, we cannot find that the set of permissions Manage Job Applications grants read and edit access to all Job Application fields, except edit access to Position and Candidate. I followed the steps and created candidate and position.

Thanks😉

Hi Martha, please double-check the Manage Job Applications permission set and make sure it has Read and Edit access to all the required Job Application fields, with Position and Candidate

having only the access specified in the challenge.

Also, make sure you’re making the changes in the correct Trailhead Playground connected to the challenge. If you’ve already verified the field-level security and Trailhead still doesn’t recognize the setup, could you please share a screenshot of the permission set’s field permissions?

If the configuration looks correct but the challenge still fails, I’d recommend creating a case with Salesforce Support for further investigation.

Hi, I’d definitely recommend K2U (formerly Focus on Force) platform. It combines focused study guides with realistic, scenario-based practice exams and detailed explanations, so you can prepare much more efficiently.

Hello Trailblazers,

We PDF files attached to one of our objects that we need exported frequently. I have only been able to use the Data Export to download all of files but I am not able to find the ones I need. I also used Data Loader but again, I am not able to effectively filter for the files related to a specific object or owned, or created by a specific user. I appreciate hearing about your experience or insight on this.

Thanks,

Kharaam

Hi Kharaam, per this help article, in order to successfully export or query all Content Documents and Files in the org, the permission 'Query All Files' must first be enabled. Once this is enabled you can use Data Loader to export files via the Content Document object.

Note: You'll need to manipulate the exported data to be able to download the files. Here's a YouTube video for one approach that doesn't seem too difficult.
