Hi All,

I have a incident data that need to be displayed as bar graph. When i see at in bar graph total incidents for one particular group is 122, but when i view underlying data, it shows around 300 records and duplicate set of incident numbers are repeated. Why is this happening?

Underlying data in Tableau shows duplicates. How to eliminate these duplicates?

Any help would be greatly appreciated!!

    Hi Rajeshwari,

You can create a calculation that divides the sum of the field being duplicated by the number of instances of the field that is causing the duplication.

For more information please refer to the "Troubleshoot joins" article below.

Another possible way to remove duplicate data that may result after joining tables, is to use a FIXED expression as documented in the knowledge base article below.

    Hope this help.
