I've got four datasets in excel (years 2021 to 2024). They all have only one sheet. They're joined with a wildcard. Data, supposedly, have the same format throughout. Same coloumns, same dataformat. I've checked manually and can't find any obvious discrepancies.

Any idea what's causing the F1 to F10 variables to be there?

Any idea why I'm getting 178.035 null values? I've checked years 2021-2024 and the figures displayed are correct - and sums to 180.079.

The datasets are too large and slightly confidential, so can't attach a .twbx.

Does anyone have any idea where I should start looking for the error?

good morning - if you used a wildcard your data is Unioned not Joined -

the F1-F10 are columns coming from one of your data sets that either lacks headers or are blank (i.e. the actual filled data in the spread sheet is at a different cell location than the end of data marker

when you UNION you are appending data to the data set - if there are named columns that do not match up with across all data sets - then additional columns are added to the data for ALL rows - the cells in those columns are null except where there is actual data - see https://jimdehner.com/2023/09/05/bgs-session-3-connecting-data-sets/ it explains connecting data sets

AND post your workbook so se can see what is going on - we need a twbx
