Which is the best way to add Basic Authentication to a flow implemented with Mule CE 4.50?

Hi,

I'd like to add basic authentication to a flow created for Mulesoft Runtime CE 4.5.0 with Anypoint Studio 7.16.0.

Which is the best way to do this?

I've seen here: https://docs.mulesoft.com/mule-runtime/3.9/configuring-the-spring-security-manager that I could use the Spring module. Is it the only way?
