Q: How did you land your first Salesforce admin role without prior admin experience?
A:
- Start with Trailhead modules and join Salesforce Saturdays.
- Attend events, connect with the community, and volunteer on projects.
- Become a "super user" at your current job to gain unofficial experience.
- Express interest at work—one attendee moved from museum memberships to a data admin role by identifying issues and offering to help.
- Don't be discouraged by job descriptions—if you meet 50% of the requirements and are eager to learn the rest, apply!
- Check out job postings in the Nonprofit and Education jobs group.
Q: I’m new to Salesforce—what exercises or projects should I add to my portfolio to appeal to nonprofit orgs?
A: Great starting points:

- Work toward Superbadges—they demonstrate applied skills beyond modules.
- Explore blog resources like How I Solved It
Q: My client sends high volumes of physical mail and wants a report with salutations and mailing addresses, without needing to create a Household for every individual. What’s the best way to handle this?
A: Tips shared include:
- Consider creating two reports instead of forcing one.
- Tools like Apsona (paid) offer helpful features:
- One attendee used Apsona multi-step reporting for acknowledgment letters.
- Try single-step reports first, and escalate to multi-step if needed.
- Another alternative: Appiphony
Q: Has anyone used Einstein Predictor for Nonprofits? I enabled Data Cloud and Einstein AI, but ran into a GitHub error while installing the package.
A: No resolution was confirmed during the session—this question is still open for community testing and feedback.
Q: How big of a leap is it from NPSP to NPC?

Q: I love working for my nonprofit but need additional income. Where can I find part-time or side job opportunities in the Salesforce ecosystem?
A: Consider these options:
- Check out job boards in Trailblazer Community Groups.
- Join local or virtual nonprofit Salesforce user groups.
- Explore international Salesforce volunteer networks.
- Participate in Salesforce Saturdays.
- Get involved with your local admin group.
Q: Has anyone implemented gifts of stock tracking in NPC? Is this a standard or custom setup?
A: A custom build would likely be required, as stock gifts involve unique financial tracking needs. NPC does not currently have a standard object or flow tailored to this use case, so creating a custom object or extending an existing financial tracking object would be advisable.
