I have a request I am looking for some guidance on for pardot forms.

In the past we have had one form per tradeshow for example.  We attend 7-12 tradeshows a year.

I have a request from our team to create a drop down list onto the form for which tradeshow as they want try and use one form for all tradeshows.

Is anyone else using the forms like this?  How does that get the member into the correct campaigns?

Second they have asked for a list of Users that they want to use as the assign to rep.

If our prospects are already assigned or if the person filling out the form is already a customer I wouldnt want these to reassign in Salesforce.   What would be the best practice in a way to show who they spoke to at an event?

If you were wanting to stick with declarative, out of the box, functionality - and depending on where you’re using the form(s) - I might stick with the multiple forms. Forms now have conditional logic on them, but if you’re having 7 to 12 trade shows, you’re going to exceed the ability of the conditional logic on the form. An alternative is to have 7 to 12 automation rules and use the automation rule to assign the prospect to a campaign based on the value of the drop-down field. I think it depends on where the form is. If the form is on your website, you may want to go with the automation rules.

Pardot can’t overwrite the assignment in Salesforce, so you can assign a prospect to a user in your form completion actions. When that prospect syncs with Salesforce, if it already exists/is already assigned, the assignment will not change. It will be updated in Pardot to match Salesforce. You cannot change this.

    Hope this helps!
