Are there any plans for a member to be able to showcase a badge on their profile picture e.g. MVP? Use case would be that other members can see the showcased badge when looking at questions, posts, etc. made by that member.

Hi Kevin: there are no plans to continue enhancing the badge feature anymore.
However, there is a relatively unknown feature called "stamping" that allows displaying a custom label under the profile picture. This is only exposed at the API level though: https://developer.salesforce.com/docs/atlas.en-us.object_reference.meta/object_reference/sforce_api_objects_stamp.htm
