Hi all. I am trying to summarize a custom field called project cost on our Project Object if they are associated with a specific opportunity. The opportunities all have payment amounts and what I want is to be able to see percentage or amount of that amount used, which would be the projects costs associated with this opportunity all summarized. I have set up the opportunity filed in projects to select an associated opportunity but have yet to find a way to connect the cost to that.

 

For example 

 

Project 1 $300 opportunity Smith donation

Project 2 $50 opportunity Smith donation

Project 3 $675 opportunity Methodist Church Grant

 

Opportunity

Smith Donation 

Payment Amount $1,000

Usage $350 or 35%

 

Opportunity 

Methodist Church Grant

Payment Amount $5,000

Usage $675 or 13.5 %

    No, you'd create the Master-Detail Field on the Opportunity, and then select the Project as the related Object
