In my salesforce org, we are using Managed Package "Litify"  which has a a custom object labeled "Matter" which has two lookups to Account records labeled "Injured Party" and "Client." The Account records have a custom field litify_pm__Email__c that contains the email address of the Injured Party or Client. Users want to be able to search for an email address in the global search bar and have the Matter records related to the Injured Party and the Client show up in the results. What is the best way to accomplish this?

We already have formula fields on Matter that bring in the email address of the Injured Party and the CLient, respectively.

    My solution ended up being:

    1.       Two new fields on Matter:

    a.       Client Email (Searchable) || ClientEmailSearchable__c

    b.       Injured Party Email (Searchable) || InjPartyEmailSearchable__c

    2. New fields on Matter need to be made Searchable = TRUE in Search Manager Configurations.

    2.  Flow running on Party: When litify_pm__Email__c ISCHANGED, find all the Matters where the Party is either the Client or the Injured Party and update ClientEmailSearchable__c and InjPartyEmailSearchable__c, as applicable, for each Matter, with the value from litify_pm__Email__c

    3. Flow running on Matter when Matter ISNEW or Client/Injured Party ISCHANGED;  If ClientEmailSearchable__c DOES NOT EQUAL Client_Email__c, write  value of Client_Email__c into ClientEmailSearchable__c;

    If InjPartyEmailSearchable__c DOES NOT EQUAL Injured_Party_Email__c, write value of Injured_Party_Email__c  into InjPartyEmailSearchable__c
