I watched a Salesforce video which suggested that a person should have at least 3-6 months experience administering Marketing Cloud before sitting for the exam. But if I do take all the Trailhead courses, and complete all the badges, then even if I've never worked for a company that uses Salesforce before, can I still take the exam?

It is recommended that you have experience for practical experience.when you give the exam no one checks that.
