We're currently looking to replace our existing CI/CD pipeline and the DevOps center would be a potential candidate here. I remember a session about it from last GearSet DevOps summit, however, it seems to be quite hard to find any reliable information on this topic (except for a few demo recordings). That's why I'm asking here:

- The FAQ states that DevOps Center will be GA in Summer '22. When exactly do you think it will release?

- That will be the difference between the free and the paid version?

- When is support for other VCS services planned, especially Azure Dev Ops?  Any help is appreciated.

In our first release we won't yet explicitly support package-based flows in DevOps Center.  Our recommendation is that if you have developers using DevOps Center to make changes, those changes should be to metadata that is not contained in the unlocked package.  DevOps Center won't know that it's part of a package and will deploy the changed metadata (via the Metadata API underneath) which will overwrite the metadata from the unlocked package and is against best practice for packaging flows.  I expect that when we more explicitly support packaging in DevOps Center we'll be able to handle this better and help guide the user better.
