That user is NOT a user in our salesforce org
It looks like I need to add a permission to the user, but that user isn't active so I cannot add it to their portal

Apologies for the disruption. You are receiving this error because some scheduled processes in your org are not set up correctly.
If you are an admin of the org here is what I would recommend:
- Browse to Setup --> Scheduled Jobs. You should see a number of NPSP jobs, these will be prefaced with NPSP 00, 01 etc. Confirm the Submitted by column says Nonprofit Success Pack for these jobs. If Submitted by is not Nonprofit Success Pack then the jobs have already been rescheduled as a user in your org and so you can ignore steps 2 and 3 below
- If the Submitted by column has Nonprofit Success Pack for one or more of the jobs, browse to NPSP Settings (click on the 9 dots in the top left and then enter NPSP Settings if you are using Lightning or click on the NPSP Settings tab if in Classic
- Simply browsing to NPSP Settings should reschedule the jobs but do navigate back to Scheduled Jobs to check (see step 1 above)
