I'm finishing the cleanup of my data... almost ready to import. One question I have:
If I want to set up my contacts to be able to pull out all "parents" of students or alumni from a certain year they attended our school (we run a one year Bible College), how should I best do that?
I have heard from another answer how I can use the roll-up feature to categorize a contact as a student for a certain time period, making them either a "current student" or an "alumni" of our program.
From there, I'm curious if I just "affiliated" the parent contact with the student contact as "Mother/Son"(as an example) for all of our students - would I then be able to pull out of our SF contact database ALL parents of students/alumni, and more importantly only the parents of a certain class of alumni?
If so, I have to make "affiliations" by hand (one by one) after inputting contacts, right?
