@Unlocked Packages As an ISV, we already have a Managed package (Built on 1 GP) and have few subscribers for the same. But now we would like to build an extension using 2 GP, and this extension package should hold true for managed package dependencies. Since the base package is built on 1 GP, Can extension be built using 2 GP? Is that allowed? If yes, are there any known considerations or lmitations that one should be aware before building the extension?

I was slightly confused why you posted here in Unlocked when your question seems to be partner related addressing managed, but anyway this addresses both unlocked and managed
