The email is not sent immediately after the status change is saved.
This email would be sent X days after the lead status change has occurred.
follow up the email if there has been no activity since 1st email was sent

When you create a process builder flow,
select object to start process and on same screen on bottom is advance setting. this will allow you to do timed action.
select your criteria
go to schedule action, select date and how many days and define action
